Our desire is to help equip and encourage women in their walk with God. Our Bible studies are specific to Historic Reformed Theology (Christian doctrine from the Protestant Reformation) and the Doctrines of Grace.

Women's Bible Study - Teacher - Tammy Heeren
Beginning January 2025 - Our Women's Bible Study is currently studying "The Necessity of Reforming the Church" by Dr. Robert Godfrey which is a Ligonier study based on John Calvin's 1544 treatise, "The Necessity of Reforming the Church."
It's important to learn our Christian history so we do not repeat what did not work. This study digs into the constant need of church reform because the church is composed of sinners, to include: 1. The Necessity for Reform Then (why Calvin wrote the treatise). 2. The Necessity for Reform in Worship. 3. The Necessity for Reform in Soteriology (Salvation). 4. The Necessity for Reforming the Sacraments. 5. The Necessity of Reforming Church Government. 6. The Necessity for Reform Now.
Our Women's Bible study meetings are held at the church in the education building on Saturday mornings at 10 am.
We just concluded another exciting Bible study on the Book of Hebrews from the lectures of Michael Kruger of Reformed Theological Seminary.
We will later be continuing from the "Knowing the Bible" series by J.I. Packer.
The Knowing the Bible series is a resource designed to help Bible readers better understand and apply God’s Word. Each 12-week study leads participants through one book of the Bible and is made up of four basic components: (1) Reflection questions designed to help readers engage the text at a deeper level; (2) “Gospel Glimpses” highlighting the gospel of grace throughout the book; (3) “Whole-Bible Connections” showing how any given passage connects to the Bible’s overarching story of redemption culminating in Christ; and (4) “Theological Soundings” identifying how historic orthodox doctrines are taught or reinforced throughout Scripture. With contributions from a wide array of influential pastors and church leaders, these gospel-centered studies will help Christians see and cherish the message of God’s grace on each and every page of the Bible.

Women's Prayer Meeting - 1st Sunday of Every Month
The Prayer Meeting Ministry hosts the monthly time of women's prayer at the church and encourages prayer as a vital component in all areas of women's ministry. We pray over our church, our families, our community, our schools and our country, etc. The prayer ministry meets the first Sunday of every month in the education building Sunday School classroom immediately after the worship service. We encourage all women to come and pray. If all the women of WPC get together for 15 - 30 minutes one Sunday a month and pray, God is listening! If you would like to just come in and pray silently with others that is encouraged as well. This ministry is one of the most important of all our ministries.
Please see Paula Leeper for more details on this ministry.
Mentoring Groups
This ministry involves special interests and sharing those interests and talents with others. God has blessed women with so many talents/gifts, such as scrapbooking, crafts, baking, cooking/culinary arts, sewing, table decorating, gift making, quilting, knitting, crocheting, cross stitching, needlepoint, extreme couponing, photography, painting (water color & oil), gardening, growing herbs/ veggies, etc. If you are a woman who is willing to share your special interests/gifts with a group of women, please contact Tammy. We are in need of someone to lead & organize this fun and important ministry.
Meals Ministry
This ministry arranges and provides short-term meal needs, such as, new baby, illness, etc. If a sister in Christ has to go to the hospital, this ministry can arrange to have meals delivered to her family while she's away from them. This ministry ministers to all our members in need of one meal or several. We are always in need of volunteers willing to cook and deliver meals as the need arises.
Please contact Vivian Mock for more details or if you have a need for meals.
Visitation (Encourage) Coordinator Ministry
This ministry will visit those in the hospital, keep track of all our women's birthdays, have other women sign the birthday cards and send out birthday cards to be delivered on or before their birthday. This ministry will reach out to visitors and new members, give them information about our women's ministry and encourage them, as well as all women, to become involved in the Women's Ministry. This ministry will work closely and assist the women's ministry leader as needed and stay up to date on all the women's ministries' activities. There are great opportunities for this ministry to grow and develop. We are currently in need of someone to lead this ministry.
For more information on this ministry please contact Paula Leeper or Tammy Heeren.
