Our desire is to equip and encourage women in their journey with Christ.    Each of us has been blessed with a unique gift to impact her family and community.   Join other women exploring God's word and applying it to your life and the needs of others.   Nurturing our faith through prayer and Bible study will enrich our lives and keep us in step in our relationship with the Lord as well as open doors to develop friendships with other women.  Our Bible studies are specific to Reformed Theology and the Doctines of Grace designed to renewing your mind and rethinking God Biblically.   If you would like more information on our Bible studies  please contact  Tammy Heeren.

Women's Bible Study - BEHOLD YOUR GOD by John Snyder -  March - May 2017_
Update:  We are going to be taking a break from our Dust to Glory series and starting March 4th we will begin the series
BEHOLD YOUR GOD!  This 12 week series will help us to rethink God biblically which answers the following questions:
Are we sure that the God we serve is the God described in Scripture?   Is rethinking Him biblically really necessary?
How do we do it?  How would it affect our views of Christ, the gospel, holiness, worship, evangelism, service, and revival
?
We are meeting every Saturday morning through May in the education building at 10 am.  If you would like more information on our Bible studies  please contact  Tammy Heeren.

Our current study is Dust to Glory.. by Dr R.C Sproul.   We are currently taking a break from this Study for the Behold Your God series and will pick up Dust to Glory again in Sept 2017.  Join us for a unique study tour as Dr. Sproul explores the major themes, events, and people that are brought to life in the Bible.   Dust to Glory provides a panorama of biblical truth and a starting point to help you understand the content of the Bible.  Dust to Glory can energize your study of the Bible, provide you with new insights, and improve your ability to read, understand, and apply Scripture to your life.  “I believe that Dust to Glory is the most important teaching tool Ligonier has produced,” says Dr. Sproul. As Christians, we are called to be people of the Word.  Dust to Glory will encourage, stimulate, and assist you to master the Scriptures so that the Scriptures may master you.  Never before has there been a greater need for Christians to know their Bibles than now.  And yet, we know them less well than we have at any time since the Reformation.   Dust to Glory gives you the big picture — the major themes, events, and people of the Bible — the very thing we need to help us know our Bibles better.   And it does so in a gripping, memorable way.

Sisters in Christ  in place of secret sister

In Titus 2, the Lord gives instruction for women to be involved  in the lives of one another.  The Sisters in Christ Mentoring Ministry provides an avenue to accomplish that assignment.  Women are paired together for friendship, support, and accountability in their walk with God.  Applications similar to the secret sister forms will be completed.  The Sisters in Christ will have each other's information, email, phone number, etc.  They will contact each other and get to know each other  - exchange favorite scriptures, recipes, interests/hobbies.  Meet with each other, take interest in her and get to know her.  There will be two matches per year (January and Sept).  The Sisters in Christ will be paired with each other for four months with the opportunity to have two sisters in Christ per year.    Applications for your Sisters in Christ are available now.

Prayer Ministry - 1st Sunday of Every Month
The Prayer Ministry hosts the monthly time of women's prayer at the church and encourages prayer as a vital component in all areas of women's ministry.  We  pray over  our church, our families, our community our country and issues affecting women.  The prayer ministry meets the first Sunday of every month in the education bldg Sunday School classroom  immediately after the service.  We encourage all WPC women to come and pray.  If all the women of WPC get together for  15 - 30 minutes one Sunday a month and pray,  surely God is listening!   If you would like to just come in and pray silently with others  that is encouraged as well.  This ministry is one of the most important of all our ministries.  Please see Paula Leeper for more details on this ministry.  Our next Prayer meeting is the first Sunday of every month.

Mentoring Groups
This ministry involves special interests and sharing those interests and talents with others.  God has blessed women with so many talents/gifts, such as scrapbooking, crafts, baking, cooking/culinary arts, sewing, table decorating, gift making,  quilting, knitting, crocheting, cross stitching, needlepoint, extreme couponing, photography, painting (water color & oil), gardening, growing herbs/ veggies, etc.  If you are a woman who is willing to share your special interests/gifts with a group of women, please contact Tammy Heeren.  We are in need of someone to lead & organize this fun and exciting ministry.

Meals Ministry
This ministry arranges and provides short-term meal needs, such as, new baby, illness, etc.  If a sister in Christ has to go to the hospital, this ministry can arrange to have meals delivered to her family while she's away from them.  If a death of a spouse occurs, this ministry can arrange to have meals delivered and use this time to minister.  This ministry ministers  to all our members in need of this ministry.   We are always in need of  volunteers willing to cook and deliver meals as the need arises.  Please contact  Pat Compton  for more details or if you have a need for meals.

Visitation (Encourage)  Coordinator Ministry
This ministry will visit those in the hospital, keep track of all our women's birthdays, have other women sign the birthday cards and send out birthday cards to be delivered on or before their  birthday.  This ministry will reach out to visitors and new members, give them information about our WM and encourage them, as well as all women to become involved in the WPC Women's Ministry.  This ministry will work closely and assist the women's minister as needed and stay up to date on all the women's ministries' activities.  There are great opportunities for this ministry to grow and develop.   Paula Leeper in currently leading/organizing this ministry and she is in need of volunteers to assist..

SPECIAL EVENTS - OUTREACH

This ministry lines up exciting events for our women's ministry, such as the ladies tea, women's retreats, prayer overnights, Fall Conference, baby showers for crisis pregnancy centers, Spiritual Journeling workshops  and  Ladies Christmas Brunch, etc.

Ladies Tea
Our Ladies Tea is becoming increasingly popular!   We have our teas a couple of times per year. We offer delicious food and of course delightful teas followed by wonderful fellowship and a special teaching from the Word of our Lord.   Join us for an incredible experience of Christian women fellowship.

Women's Retreat

A wonderful opportunity to renew your mind and spend  some time with the Lord and be in fellowship with other women. This is a time to nurture old friendships and make new ones. Included in the retreat is a great time of  fellowship, worship and prayer.  Our  retreat at the  Riverbend Retreat Center was an incredible time of glorifying God, learning about prayer/meditation and fellowship.  Our Women's Fall Prayer Retreat is a time for fellowship, prayer as a group of WPC women and alone time in prayer with our heavenly Father in a beautiful setting.
